October is Arts Month, and the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM) is proud join the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region (COPPR) and arts organizations across the region to celebrate. Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore, experience and engage with stories and art through our exhibits and public programs.

"50% of the Story: Women Expressing Creativity"

Recently unveiled, "50% of the Story: Women Expressing Creativity" transforms the CSPM collection to more accurately reflect the complexity, diversity and uniqueness of the Pikes Peak Region. Visitors explore historic artwork and artifacts, alongside contemporary pieces to consider how women across time have always told their stories through art and creativity.

Una Familia Grande: The Conejos Neighborhood Project

A community-based exhibit, Una Familia Grande: The Conejos Neighborhood Project uses artifacts, photographs, and stories to put this once vibrant neighborhood back on the map. Explore this exhibit and learn more about Connie Benavidez and the ongoing legacy of Ballet FolklĂłrico de la Raza.

"COS@150: Exploring Colorado Springs Story Through Objects"

COS@150 shares dozens of art stories including including Looart Press & Current, Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival, and more.

"The Story of Us: Pikes Peak Region A through Z"

The Story of Us encourages visitors to connect stories through their physical location in the permanent gallery digital interface and mobile device. The Story of Us feature art stories including Lon Chaney, Esther Geoffrey, Current and more.

This October, arts & culture is taking center stage across the Pikes Peak region, as our creative community celebrates Arts Month 2024. The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak region (COPPR) leads this effort to elevate the visibility of arts & culture across El Paso and Teller Counties. This year, everyone is invited to “Open Your World with the Arts,” and explore the incredible strength and vitality of our arts community. Â
